Home Renovation Project

Thinking About Renovating Your Home?

For many, one of the most challenging aspects of a renovation is the vision. At Bruin Corp. we thought it would be helpful to showcase a recent renovation project we completed in Framingham.

The project included a full external renovation of this 1951 Cape Style home.

1. Windows

Replaced all the original 1950's windows with the latest SofLlite Classic Double-Hung windows. What is immediately apparent about a SoftLite double-hung window is its stylish beauty. What might not be so easy to see – until you get your next power bill – is how energy efficient the windows are. In fact, SoftLite’s double-hung designs are the most energy efficient in the industry, as well as the highest-performing.

We also replaced the existing Skylight window in the flat roof, with the latest model VELUX Fixed Skylight. VELUX fixed skylights are perfect for visually expanding areas such as hallways, stairwells, and other closed-in, dark spaces that can be transformed with daylight and sky views. It provides an economical choice in creating a spacious home that is filled with natural light

2. Roofing

Replaced the original pitched roof with GAF Architectural Shingles, that included the latest technology Leak Barrie, Roof Deck Protection, Timberline HD Shingles, and Cobra Attic Ventilation.

We also replaced the existing flat Rubber Roof with the latest technology Rubberoid Roof System that is strong and resilient to the New England weather.

3. Siding

Replaced the original exterior with CertainTeed Cedar Impression shingles. These Straight Edge Perfection Shingles are the industry's first polymer shingles that feature an innovative, blended color throughout, giving that low-maintenance authentic cedar shingle look. We then completed the siding finish with PVC trim through-out.
